Error 517 - This video cannot be played

Error 517 - This video cannot be played

The troubleshotting suggests that Flash Player needs to bee reinstalled. I'm on Windows 8. It runs IE11. I cannot find flash player anywhere on my computer. I have been able to play movies on Comcast. But since I  upgraded to Xfininty, this problem exists.

i'm boycotting windows 8 so can't tell you the easy ways to check for it rite on your PC,

but this way is easy to check also  @ adobe flash web site

 

http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html    - click the check now button, & also step 5 should have a flash animation with clouds moving if you have flash installed.

 

if you have a flash version above 11.8  (if i remember correct),  the videos at Xfiniy web site should play w/o complaining about flash player.

 

you can also update to the newest version, or install flash, linked rite from that page if needed.
