hardware - Android 4.4 generic tablet
App - Xfinity TV Go
In my house, watching game of thrones on tablet, house has comcast cable/internet/phone service.
Netgear wifi router - strong wifi signal - no problems with solid wifi.
Video streaming fine, seems like a cool product.
in the middle of watching game of thrones, popup - error 3001 (Account credentials have expired, please sign in)
only option is logout, click that.
Back to login screen - both user/password fields blank - annoying! - re-enter credentials - find stream, resume, OK.
After 5..20 minutes - repeat this again, and again, and again... happened 5 times before I gave up.
This renders the product useless.
I have an asus 4.2 android tablet - wil ltry it on that - but it doesn't have an HDMI out to go to the TV like my generic tablet does.
When getting the 3001 error message, are you getting it when using HDMI-Out? Do you receive the error when you just watch the episode on the tablet?
I'm having the same issue. I'm loggin in with my comcast email address and password amd I get error 3001 your credentials have expired please log in again and it keeps happening every few minutes. I love the android xfinity to go app and it's unusable now. Please help
Can you please give me the specifics of the device you are using:
What version of Android are you running?
What type of device are you using? (please be as specific as possible)
sgarratt & dfoster2601,
Is there anyone else in your household that is sharing your account? It may be possible that you are going over the stream limit per account. You can bypass this by creating a secondary account.
Let me know the results.
I have the exact some problem. I am running a generic android 4.4.2 device and after just a few minutes it will sign me back out of the device and make me log in again giveing me the error of 3001 telling me my credentials have expired.
I am supposed to be getting assistance via phone call from teir 2 tech support today. Hopefully I can post about some progress in resolution of this issue.
Well... the time frame they were supposed to call in has passed and comcast has abandoned me. Way to show customer service excellence comcast!
So I have taken it upon myself to flash my generic android device back to 4.2.2 rather than using 4.4.2 and my issue is resolved.
Clearly there is some sort of bug in their app when operating within a 4.4.2 enviorment. Rather than fixing the issue I am willing to bet the patch it on case by case basis.
Get your big boy pants on comcast. The app market is no play to be dropping the ball like this. I am ashamed at the poor quality of this app.
Ticket number: CR418293965 <--- this is my ticket number if anyone in comcast cares... which I am sure you don't.
I am having this exact problem on a new Android Mini PC HDMI stick running 4.4. I have uninstalled and reinstalled TVtoGo and that did not help. Only 1 registered user so that's not it either. No fix to this yet????
