DVR manager not working after X1 upgrade

DVR manager not working after X1 upgrade

I had the new X1 receiver installed one week ago.  The installer tried two different receivers and could never get it to activate.  It was the end of the day and he left saying it would happen automatically.  It never did. He gave me his personal ohone number in case it didn't work but will not call or text back.  I have tried calling 877-556-4204 but get a busy signal.  I have also called Comcast and gone through the menus and still get a busy signal.  I chatted with a Comcast rep online for about an hour and he said the X1 does not support the DVR manager.  He was clueless.  I have seen in the forums that others have had the same problem with activation.  Any suggestions?
