DVR Shows No Recordings

My DVR is 89% full of recorded shows,  which are listed in my DVR manager on my Comcast account, but I can't access any of my recorded programs on my DVR. I have tried multiple times to disconnect the power on my cable box,  hoping to turn it back on and fond my recordings safe, but have had no luck. This is the second cable box that I've had in the last year with which I've had this problem. Is there any other way I can get my recordings back so that I can catch up on my shows? I really don't want to have to replace the box again and lose everything I've recorded.
