DVR Manager is available in your area. However, we are

Recently called Comcast's 800 number and was advised that DVR Manager is now available in my area but that I needed a new DVR to use the service. One of your techs came out to my home this morning and installed the new DVR (a Cisco RNG200N and a $50 service call), but DVR Manager is still unavailable to me. When I access my account on-line DVR Manager comes up with the following message " DVR Manager is available in your area. However, we are unable to detect a compatible DVR in your household.". By the same token when I use the Infinity App on my iPhone or iPad I get the message "No eligible TVs". Help!!

It can take 24 to 48 hours for your new DVR to completely sync with your account.

Re: DVR Manager is available in your area. However, we are

It's now been 48 hours and neither my iPhone nor iPad can detect my DVR.  When I sign on to the Xfinity website it says that DVR Manager is snycing with my DVR, but its now been doing it for over 48 hours.

Have tried calling your support line (800-COMCAST) three times but finished up talking to three different folks who read the same "solution" obviously out of a manual.  Their "solution" didn't work the first time, nor the second, nor the third.  Having spent almost three hours on your support line, can you put me in touch with someone who knows what they're doing and can actually resolve this problem.

Hi- I'm not sure the date of your post. Did you get DVR manager to work? I have the same box and same issue. Thanks.

Re: DVR Manager is available in your area. However, we are

Not as yet.  Had call from Comcast Tech Support to tell me that the DVR they recently installed isn't currently compatible with DVR Manager, but that they expected to have the issue resolved within one week - we'll see!!

Re: DVR Manager is available in your area. However, we are

One week has now passed and I still cannot program my DVR from my iPhone.  DVR Manager still says it's syncing (it has been for the last two weeks!!).  Why did Comcast charge me $50+ for a call to my home to provide a service that doesn't work.  Still need help!!!

Re: DVR Manager is available in your area. However, we are

Two weeks have now passed and still no additional contact from Comcast nor can I still remotely program my DVR!!!  DVR Manager continues to say it's "syncing"  -  sinking would be a better descriptor!!!  HELP

Re: DVR Manager is available in your area. However, we are

OK - finally got a visit from a Comcast Tech who actually knows what's going on.  In spite of assurances from Comcast's website and their telephone help service that DVR Manager service IS available in my area, a tech confirmed that, in fact, it ISN'T, at least as yet.  So the bottom line is that I paid $50 several weeks ago for a technician to install a new DVR that could access a service that isn't available.  Want to take any bets on how many phone calls I have to make to Comcast and how many minutes I have to wait on hold to get a refund for a service that isn't available?

Oh, and in the mean time, my new DVR consistently locks up with a "wait a moment" message almost every time I try to delete a recorded program.  The only way to resolve that issue is to unplug the DVR, plug it back in and have it reboot.  Simply turning it off and then back on again doesn't resolve the problem.  Am now  waiting for a tech to install yet another, not faulty, DVR.  There has to be a better way!!!

Have you been able to set up the DVR Manager?

Re: DVR Manager is available in your area. However, we are

YES!!  Don't recall exactly when, but out of the blue I tried a remote access to DVR manager from my iPhone four or five months ago and, guess what, it actually worked.  Have never received any kind of notifications form Comcast that the service was active but, since then, have been able to remotely program recordings on my DVR with no difficulty.

Thanks, I guess I have to keep on trying every couple of weeks since there is no response from Comcast.
