DVR Manager is available in your area. However, we are unable to detect

All of a sudden the DVR can't be viewed from the iOS app or from the comcast website.

 

The error message is

 

"DVR Manager is available in your area. However, we are 
unable to detect a compatible DVR in your household

 

Please refer to the FAQ or contact us at 1-800-COMCAST for assistance."

 

Calling the service center... current wait time is between 18-20 minutes... wow!!

 

"Please wait so we can give you the same special attention."

 

hmmm I'm guessing they will hang up on me on minute 19.

 

Is there any way to fix this problem without waiting and listening to crappy jazz music for the next half hour?

so the rep said someone needs to call me to find out more information. this is after 30 minutes of waiting... oh and their suggestion was to unplug the dvr for 5-10 minutes... really?

 

ok maybe I'll just unplug it for good and drop it off at your store... and save $200/month

Can you direct message me with your Comcast ID so we can investigate?

 

Also, can you tell me what version of the app you are using with the device you are using and iOS version.

In these forums a "direct message" is called a "private message".

Comcast never figure out why this wasn't working. I finally cancelled my TV service and feel so much better. At least now I don't have to get ripped off.
