Can't get DVR Manager to work

Can't get DVR Manager to work

I have had the DVR since December, but still can't get the DVR Manager to work.  It still says, "DVR Manager is available in your area.     However, we are unable to detect a compatible DVR in your household."

You are most likely on a Scientific Atlanta / Cisco equipped cable system.

 

The rollout of these features is just starting this summer.  The first step is for your system to receive Guide 2.0.  Once Comcast notifies you that you will be receiving Guide 2.0, then you know you will be getting close to receiving these features.

 

Right now, a handful of area's are on Guide 2.0 with the AnyRoom DVR option.  Stand alone DVR's will be getting it over the next year.

 

If you have a Motorola DVR, then it would be an account coding issue that a Comcast support agent can fix with a call.
