One of the only reasons I even have Comcast's TV service is because I've been utilizing the streaming feature. Very recently, however, I've been getting this timeout: error 900|101000.101002.101005 at varying speeds every time I attempt to stream. I'm unsure if it happens on all channels, I watch ID most frequently and that's the one it happens on all the time now and is entirely unwatchable. This error is across all browsers on a fully updated Win 8.1 rig with 16GB RAM and a 3rd gen i7. Until recently, I had been able to stream perfectly.

Me too, I've fully disconnected my router and connected directly to my moden and still have the issue accross all platforms and Mac OSs including iPhone. Friday (6/12/2015) morning it worked very nice and then it strarted acting up in the afternoon. My guess in Comcast has many users loging in as summer is here and many school kids want to watch TV on their mobile divices and demand is very HIGH! I've spent WAY more time toubleshooting this issue onmy end and now know NONE of the "fixes" listed here work. So don't waiste your time, its all on their end and they need to fix it now!

Actually it appears that I messed up. Had Adblock Plus active and I'm pretty sure that was breaking its syncing process. We'll see.

 

 

-- Nope. Still times out on every channel. Was trying to watch TNT and it has the same error. Oh well.

Has anyone found a fix?  This is rediculous!  I keep hitting refresh it comes back for a few minutes then times out again!  Get your act together Comcast and fix this problem.

We have been having this very same issue on two different devices with two different browsers and different connections for about a month now.  Was working perfectly before that.  Very very frustrating.

Yeah we pay for this why seems this has been a issue for a long time I mean like years fix it or pay someone who can.

Why has not this issue on live streaming been fixed it has been a issue for years we do pay for this service so I think it should work either fix it or pay someone who can. Dont believe me check the forums.

Just makes me wonder how come smaller compnies can get it right but a monster corporation  like comcast can't. I would like to thank Andrew for his quick response still dont solve the issue.

Below is a google web search for the error code I believe these are from your forums. Dating back to 2013. You can probaly reproduce this on any of the channels but seems to be more on FX, syfi and Headline News.
Your streaming video is broke and has been broke for years. I really do believe that I have been misled in believing that you had a streaming video that worked. That is part of the service that I pay for but am not getting. So essentially I am being robbed. Just wonder how other companies such as Netflix, youtube, and Amazon can get it right but you can't?

Yeah Teds for 3 years quit BS ing us any other company would have solved a major issue like this pretty quickly Comcast has chose to do nothing about it so at that point it becomes theft by deception. You say we have this great service we pay for but instead  we get a higher bill and no service. I think Comcast should remove this from advertising because their live streaming is broke and has been broke for 3 years. Also think we as consumers should get a reimbursed. A good company that had such a major issue would do that.

Those are Comcast Employees, yes. Not all of them work specifically on video streaming. They responded to your Private Message with a Private Message.

They are Comcast employees regardless they represent your company as such those messages are not private. They answered them in a official capacity as a comcast employee not a private individual. A private message would consist of personal information which none of the letters contain. Yes these other employees may actually get the answer before you. So why would you delete there responses.

Why has not this issue on live streaming been fixed it has been a issue for years we do pay for this service so I think it should work either fix it or pay someone who can. Dont believe me check the forums.

Yes, Understood that limited variations of this issue (and solutions for certain software updates that are no longer working in current state) can be found going back to 2013.

 

That may or may not be the same and identical root cause and issue that you or other customers are currently experiencing. 

 

As mentioned earlier, this issue is with the appropriate people internally and it is being looked at. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to review, investigate and respond.

...I'm so tired of this incompetent Comcast. When are you going to start hiring people with an education that know what they're doing ? I have 8 different streaming services and yet yours is has the most consistent problems.

That may or may not be the same and identical root cause and issue that you or other customers are currently experiencing.

All - I have been in contact with the operations and engineering teams that work on video streaming. These more recent instances of these errors may be related to the stability issues we have encountered with our TV Everywhere packagers (what runs the XFINITY TV GO app and XFINITY TV online).

Our operations team is in the process of migrating these packagers from Windows to Linux OS this week to improve stability for this platform.

 

We continue to review this and review the overall error rates. Thanks for your patience. 

 

If you are continuing to have issues, please provide your PC-laptop type (Mac or PC), browser name and version number so that we can open individual tickets to assist customers as needed.

Go on facebook and look for Comcast Tech Support and tell them what's happening. Those guys know what to do and fixed my problem. It's a matter of re-setting your customer/user file in their system.There is NOTHING you can do on your end - Believe me I tried everything 5x.
