Xfinity sound out of sync with video

The video on my TV is out of sync with the sound.  There is a delay of about 1 sec in the sound.  I've tried unplugging the box from power but that didn't fix it.  What else can i do?  This problem occurs every few months but it would be nice to fix it as soon as it happens instead of waiting for it to stop.

Are you using just the speakers in your TV? Soundbar? External audio system?

Depending upon your situation there may be no fix.

FYI there is a at least one long running thread in this forum discussing this issue.

Some newer televisions can handle sync issues under their "audio" menues. Have you checked your television manual for this issue?
