X1 platform box keep rebooting 12/26/17

My XI boxes has been continusouly rebooting, i.e., approx 5 times so far, since 9:30pm. What is going on? This is very annoying...

do they come up to live TV and then reboot later? Did you call into 800-Comcast and let the technical support for cable TV run their remote diagnostics?

I was having the same problem. The X1 DVR would just reboot at anytime. It would eventually come back on and everything would be fine. This would sometimes happen several times per day. I found out the problem was with the cable splitter. It was one that was installed by a Comcast/Xfinity technician.( Not their fault, things just wear out) What I did was isolate the cable. I took the single incoming line and went straight to the cable that went to the main X1 DVR. Totally bypassing the splitter.( my splitter was a 4 output splitter). Turned everything back on and no more rebooting. I got a new splitter this time I got a 3 output, which is all I needed. I added each cable run to the splitter slowly, making sure there was no rebooting going on after I added one. I now have all three rooms connected and it has been 2 weeks and no reboots.

I was lucky when I got my X1 system when if first became available; they installed "home runs" to every room where I had a TV.  (Four teenagers and two adults).  No splitters anywhere.
