X1 Service Laggy / Remote Control

X1 Service Laggy / Remote Control

My X1 service is really laggy and I am wondering if it is the box or if it's Xfinity's service. Do I need to go to a Xfinity store to replace the box? My internet connection is fine on my desktop for the most part but my TV Service is laggy all the time.

 

Examples of issues:

  • The guide takes 5-10 seconds after pressing the button to display and populate.
  • entering channel numbers to change the channel has a 5 sec delay
  • trying to get through my dvr recordings takes forever....

Any help would be appreciated.

Everything that can be checked remotely looks good and well within spec. You can swap out the box or have a tech out to troubleshoot further and swap the box.

Thanks. I will try swapping the box before asking for a tech to come out.
