I have been watching WGN America's Manhattan. Last weeks episode 10 was a no show. The available episodes jump from S1 Ep9 to S1 Ep11.

I think it is coming close to the season finale for this show. I would look to see they are playing this episode along side the next episode. If that is the case it may be locked out by the network.. Great show, I watch it!

There was an issue with On Demand not loading new material in some markets. Check later on tonight if it's there, I have that episode in my market. I agree, I like that show as well.

Is there a difference between "X1 On Demand" and the On Demand that is available to TiVo customers?

I recently upgraded to the X1 Xfinity platform and am having 2 issues.

  1. When I go to On Demand and want to a view a show that played the night before it says “null” off to the right and doesn’t give me the option to play the show.
  2. The first day I had upgraded my system, On Demand worked in the sense that it gave me the option to hit play but once it played it froze in the first few seconds on numerous different shows, now I can’t even watch them.

I rebooted my system last night and still says Null. My DVR works fine in viewing shows again but not On Demand which made me miss one of last weeks shows cause of it.

The first thing I would do is call in. Have them provision the equipment. What happens when you try other xod titles?

When trying to watch on demand on my x1 boxes I get an error code XRE-22 SRM-901F. I have called and a representative tried rebooting the boxes twice and still does not work. when trying to watch on-line I get a "subscription required" error. Seems like there is something wrong with my account, not the hardware. Help please

this is usually caused by the equipment needing be provisioned. Call billing to check that the proper rate codes are applied and ask to re-provisioned the boxes....

I think there are over 8 million x1 boxes on the market now. There are only so many engineers to go around..

We just had Comcast service installed yesterday & were running into the same exact error message when we tried to watch premium channel shows (i..e Game of Thrones) On Demand on tv only (viewing online worked just fine). Called Comcast today & had a delightfully helpful service rep who fixed our issue. Honestly, I can't tell you the exact steps she took, but she mentioned there was an outstanding work order on our account that could have hung up things. She closed that out, rebooted our machine remotely & had me change a few settings that shouldn't impact On Demand (i.e. video output resolution). Perhaps call again?

Also, we had the misfortune of having an AWFUL service tech do our install. I could write about that all by itself, but will refrain since this is not the place for it (I've already submitted that feedback to the service rep today). I bring this up because being new to Comcast & the X1 platform, we did not realize you shouldn't completely power down the box. Since the service tech didn't take the time to bother educating us on ANYthing yesterday, we just assumed that it should turn off. The remote won't turn it off (by design, unbeknownst to us), but we thought maybe the remote was malfunctioning & so we instead manually pushed the blue button to power down. Thankfully, the customer service rep with whom I spoke today informed me of this. You probably are already aware of this, but just in case not....

I sent an account refresh signal out.  What error do you get?  Which channels are you trying to view?

The firmware version on your box is up to date.  All signal levels look great (even historical plots)

I sent a bunch of refresh signals to the box as well.  The last signal should reboot your box.

Please ensure all connections between the wall plate and cable box are correct and secure.

I'm having the same issue as well. I select a show from On Demand and then it just appears to be continuously loading. No error code is shown. I then went to Device Settings and selected Restart This Device. After the box restarted I went to try another show from On Demand but I'm still having the same problem. Please help...What should I do?

I am restarting the device again as per what the error message suggested...

Update#2
Restarting device worked this time. On Demand shows are now properly loading.

The On Demand function has Movies, TV, Kids, Networks, Local, etc.

It needs a Favorites tab.  It would make things much simpler to have all favorited series available from one area.  Most likely, you would see more use of On Demand instead of DVR for shows that are routinely available the day after.

When first installed, there was something like that, but the Favorites feature has been of little use in later updates.

I am having the same issue as everyone else is...On Demand...free movies/shows...all I get when trying to watch is the same error code...on all boxes XRE-22-SRM-901F....We also have issues when trying to rent - will not allow - and only way to watch is to buy?  After a week of this and doing the rebooting and checking all connections etc. myself...I called the service center today, they ran some re-boots to the main box which should help all boxes....while I was on the phone with the service person I thought it was fixed because it was finally letting me use the On Demand and did get me as far as picking SD or HD..so I thought it was fixed...as it never got that far before, however ... that is as far as it will let me go....I select to watch...select HD or SD and it just shows the dots then the error code...again.   The service person did tell me that they have been having this problem a lot....obviously....but what is going on and when will this be fixed?

This is something that usually only happens to new x1 customers. In most cases a call to billing and some provisioning will solve the issue. In my case they had to put a teir two ticket in for the issue. It is just the roll of the ⚁ ⚀ as to who you will get on the phone and if they know how to fix the issue..

Had x1 installed Saturday morning 10/25. Tried to watch OnDemand and kept getting the same error message XRE-22-SRM-901F. Numerous calls to comcast - unplug box, refresh signals sent. Nothing worked. Comcast sent another tech out later that day  and he couldn't resolve. Said if it didn't work by tomorrow to call again. Issue not resolved. So i called again went thru the whole thing unplug box they send a refresh signal. Nothing worked. Now they're sending ANOTHER tech out this Saturday. No one can tell me what the issue is let alone resolve it. So annoyed.

The SRM 901F is an issue Comcast is aware of and working on with our engineers.  The open ticket suggests a resolution might be reached by the first week of November

I will check back with some updates.

The open ticket did suggest a work-around.  I will try this work around for

Re: error code "xre-22-srm-901f" on satilite. boxes

I was receiving error code XRE-22SRM-901F anytime I tried to watch an ON Demand TV show. Called 877-896-8678. Tech was able to resilve the issue within 10 minutes. Said there was an unmatched signal code within the X1 DVR box. Tech Cyntia was very helpful and very polite. Kudos to her!
