Secondary cable box keeps disconnecting

Secondary cable box keeps disconnecting

We just upgraded to the X1 cable boxes. Our main box is on one floor and then the connected box is on another floor. The secondary box keeps getting disconnected and we have to reboot the whole system, meaning go down to the main box, reboot that, wait until it connects, then come back upstairs to unplug the smaller box and let that reboot. It's a 15 minute process every time and we've had to do it 10+ times in 2 days! What's going on??

The moca levels ( how the boxes communicate) are far below spec and would result in the issues that you're having. Take a look at how your cable is configured, the splitters any amps etc. What worked for your previous legacy equipment may not work for the X1 platform. Also, the signal levels for both your modem and dvr are out of spec as well
