I have an Anthem AVM60 and the X1 is doing the commercial drop out as well. It’s plays the Dolby Digital 3/2 signal fine but the commercial is a Dolby Digital 2.0 signal and dosent play. Some shows like Vice News on HBO only sends the subwoofer signal. It shows Dolby Digital 3/2 but no sound comes out of the the mains. It’s really random some movies start that way but change the channel and back, then the audio plays. It’s driving me crazy!

Thanks for posting. Are you seeing the drops via stereo as well? Have you tried replacing the wiring from the box into  the Anthem AVM60?
