New Samsung 4K TV Compatibility

Is the 2017 Samsung 4K TV, series 7000, model number UN65MU7000FXZA, compatible with the new Xfinity 4K X1 DVR?  Not sure if Samsung's receiver's HDMI ports support HDCP 2.2 and above.

Re: New Samsung 4K TV Compatibility

Yes the V4 DVR is fully compatible with your TV.

HOWEVER it should be pointed out the only thing Comcast offers in actual 4K signal is Netflix (which looks very good).

I happen to think the V4 DVR is quite a bit better than previous X1 boxes simply because it is noticeably quicker responding to the remote.

Re: New Samsung 4K TV Compatibility

Follow directions for your Samsung UHD tv under Set up. Make sure the new cable-box' s HDMI port is connected with a "4K HDMI" cable to "HDMI 1" port on the Samsung hub as mentioned in their directions.
