the x1 set top box's internal data modem (DOCSIS 3.0) that obtains data for your guide and other 'streams' of data is being reported by your box as having low signal. Note the 'name' of the box or the serial number and call the tech support at 877-896-8678 so they can verify the problem. A truck roll may be necessary to correct the problem.

It's the TV saying that, not the box. TV is not on Ch3 or the proper input.

good catch. There is a new feature for the x1 to have a similar error message. (haven't seen actual message).

If you're referring to the low signal strength indicator under the comcast labs menu then it's just a red line next to the clock in the top right of the screen.

Jane,

I think John is correct. It sure sounds like your TV is not set to the right input. Were you able to resolve this?

No -- I don't see where to fix the input.  The error message is the only thing on the screen and just stays on, bouncing from place to place on the screen.

Re: Need Help with Signal Strength Error Message

Find the remote control that came with your TV. Then find a button that is labeled SOURCE or INPUT or TV/VIDEO. Toggle that button until you get a picture. The button may also be on the TV somewhere, usually not far from the power button.
