Main X1 box not getting signal but slave boxes are.

Main X1 box not getting signal but slave boxes are.

I have an appointment for a technician to come out in two days. I'm trying to see if I can figure it out before then to avoid having to pay for the visit in the event the problem is found to be on my end.

I have the Any Room DVR X1 with three slave boxes. The main box is getting no signal. All three slave boxes are working fine. The DVR is still recording shows that I have scheduled. I have checked that all cables are tight and HDMI cables are good. I have it tuned to the correct source.

On the phone, the Xfinity rep told me that my signal is compromised. There is someone coming to check on that but he didn't think it was what was causing my lack of signal issue.

What other things can I try to rule out the possibility that the issue is on my end?

Thanks!

Ugh. Looks like I posted this in the wrong place. Can a mod move it, please? Thanks.

As long as you’re sure that the input is correct, try
-a different HDMI cord
-moving the dvr temporarily to a secondary box location to see if it’s the tv or the hdmi port of the dvr
The dvr is online and working as it should ( the secondary boxes wouldn’t work if it wasn’t)

Thanks for the reply.

I have swapped out the HDMI with one I know works and I have tried different boxes that I know work. The problem only happens in this room. The boxes work when hooked up to other TVs in other rooms.

That sounds like a cabling issue.  If you are paying for the service contract, a tech can track it down and fix it.

If you don't have a service contract, a tech visit will be charged.
