Error Message RDK-03036

Error Message RDK-03036

I have a main DVR box installed on the first floor and a minibox that I just got on the third floor. Every time I try to set up the minibox I get the error code RDK-03036. There is a Commscope 4 port cable amplifier in the basement that is hooked up. I know the signal is not getting to the minibox from the dvr box but can not figure out how to fix that. Should I keep switching the "out" coax cables in the amplifier? Do I need to put a splitter in? Any help would be appreciated

Can you post the amp model number, it may not be the proper one.

Right amp. And no splitters before the amp?How sure are you that the location for the xid has a live outlet ( hooked up to the amp)?

There is one splitter near the main DVR box that has the dvr and the internet on it. I believe this cable from the splitter than goes back to that amp in the basement

if you temporarily move your dvr to where you want the xid to go, does it go to live tv?

No it does not, I get another error code RDK-03003

That means the cable outlet isn’t live. Any cables that aren’t attached by the amp?
If you can’t determine where the cable is, you may see if you can get hold of an Xi5 (wireless box).
