Comcast service tech installed a Commscope amplifer/spliter in a upstairs secondary bedroom...it has to be plugged in for all my tv's and internet to operate.   Question is:  can i unplug/ un do cables and move to another tv or to the main cable box and tv?  is there instructions??  thanks

Why do you want to move it? Are you moving it to an outlet that has a cable box? It's a little more involved than just moving the power supply (if that's what you're referring to).

I suspect the tech installed it there for a reason. Probably because all of the cable leads in your house "home run" to that location.

You did not provide enough information for us to answer you question but at first glance I think you would be asking for a great deal of trouble if you tried to move it.

If you really want to move it, I suggest you involve an AV professional.

No,you don't have to move it if you're just turning in a cable box. For clarification, are you talking about the power supply or the amp itself?
