Yes.  None of the codes provided onscreen work.  I have a newer Sharp also.

Re: Can’t pair X1 remote with Sharp TV

Hi,

I spent some time with online Chat and this worked for me:

Press setup button - LED turns red to green

press 991

press the channel up arrow until the TV turns off

press setup button once

Press TV power - it should turn on

This worked for me, but then I was having issues with the Xfinity remote OK button not working when I tried to click on the "cable box" icon on the ROKU main menu, so I also had to go to the tv settings and default to the cable box.  Now when I turn the TV on with the Xfinity remote, it goes straight to tv (cable box) instead of the ROKU menu.

Another forum said Sharp is made by Hisense and to use those codes instead of the Sharp codes.  Might depend on the model of Sharp you have.

12183
Others to try
10178, 11660, 12098, 11314, 10748, 13382, 13118

Hope this helps!

Re: Can’t pair X1 remote with Sharp TV

Sharp TV owners having this issue need to try Hisense codes simply because Sharp has been owned by Hisense for a few years now. Other users have reported that Hisense codes work.

Re: Can’t pair X1 remote with Sharp TV

Trying to use one remote to get to cable with the Sharp Smart TV.  How do you default to the Cable TV instead of the menu.  Where in setting is the default screen?

Thank you

I don't understand your question.  Does the remote's A button work?  There is an option there to pair a remote.
