Camera - unable to take a photo or record a video

I am unable to take a photo or record a video.  Have had the home security service for 4 weeks, the installer did take several photos when setting the system up and until last weeks outage the photos from the install were available to view.

Now there are no saved photo and clicking the "take photo" button gives a message about "saving media" for several minutes and then the session time outs.  Nothing is saved, there are no saved photos.
