I am given the message "one moment please with ref code s0a00". It usually occurs around prime time and on the same few channels. What does this mean?
The s0a00 error is caused by a poor signal at the TV outlet.
Check for loose F connectors on the coax at the back of the box, the TV outlet and any accessible splitters. Excessive splitting in the home can cause signal issues like this. If there are any splitters that can be removed, that will increase the signal to those TV outlets.
Error s0a00 could also be caused by your cable box not being active or has somehow lost its activation. If the error does not go away within approximately one hour, determine if the error message is on all your TVs, or just one, and thencontact Comcastso a representative can assist you.
Comcast support can usually just send a new signal and get it working again and if not, ask for a tech visit. Sometime, this issue can be outside with a damaged drop cable, loose / corroded / wet fittings or other coax issues from the pole / ped to the house or upstream into Comcast's RF portion of the plant. The tech will have the proper test equipment to find and fix the issue.
