xfinity Streampix

The announcement states that Streampix would be available to "many" triple play customers. If you are a triple play customer - what more do you need to qualify?

I tried it out on my work computer (just now) and it seems to work. I tired on my iphone and it says subscription required. What's up with that?

What is the name of the show and episode name or the movie you are trying to watch on the Xfinity TV App?

Also, what is the device you are trying to watch videos on?

Re: xfinity Streampix

On my work computer, signed into comcast, I can stream anything under Streampix that is currently on the air (30 Rock, Psych).

Ugly Better was a no-go. All movies (under Streampix) a no-go.

On my iphone, nothing with the Streampix icon worked,

I get triple play, all the movie channels, sports add-on. Regular Blast! internet.

I get back to - what qualifies under triple play to get the service? The announcement was vague on that part.

I am sorry but you need a Blast! Plus or a Blast! Extra plan to watch Streampix movies and shows. You can also add Xfinity Streampix to your packages for only $4.99 a month. Call Call 1-877-870-4310 to get it added.

As for newer shows working, newer episodes of 30 Rock and Psych come from a different source. If you try watching an older 30 Rock episode, it will ask you to subscribe to Streampix.

Joe

Re: xfinity Streampix

Joe, there are conflicting reports about eligibility for this.  I have read in reports that Double Play subscribers are eligible but then when I called Customer Service they told me existing customers didn't even qualify- that this was considered a promotion for new customers.  Which is it????

Streampix is included as part of many Xfinity triple-play packages and Blast!+ and Blast! Extra video/high-speed Internet packages.

If you do not meet one of these requirements, you can add it on separately for $4.99 a month with other video packages.

Found on this page http://www.comcast.com/Corporate/Learn/DigitalCable/xfinitystreampix.html

"Not available in all areas. Requires subscription to XFINITY TV. Included with the following tiers of service: Blast Plus(TM), HD Preferrred Plus XF Triple Play, HD Premier XF Triple Play or HD Complete XF Triple Play. HD content requires subscription to HD Technology/HD Service fee. Services and features subject to change. (c) 2012 Comcast. All rights reserved. nashman, I am glad it works for you. Despite the hype that implies it will be available to everyone immediately I am told it is not available in my area. NEVER was it mentioned in any press release or Comcast blog post was the fact that it is not available in all areas.

I posted about my Streampix experience here http://forums.comcast.com/t5/XfinityTV-Online-Help/ComcastJoe-Xfinity-Streampix-Questions/td-p/12062...

Re: xfinity Streampix

In Seattle, "Xfinity Streampix" shows up as the first option under On Demand "Premium Channels" on the cable box.  I don't have Triple Play, so everything just has a "Buy" option for me, but this may be a good indicator as to whether it's available in a particular area.

Re: xfinity Streampix

As it stands now there isn't enough content to justify the price.  I was mainly curious about availability.

I'll stick with Netflix streaming.

We discovered a Care Bears movie released in 1986. Natalie loved it. Watched it twice already. This is the same Care Bears movie her mama watched a couple of times a week for several years when mama was a little girl. I haven't told her about the bajillion Barney's that are available on Streampix.

Are you saying that only customers with a bundle package will be able to receive Streampix?

You really need to clarify what you mean.

Re: xfinity Streampix

I still can't figure out why comcast ignores the largest group of tablet and phone users. When will you start building apps and programs for the Android users? Why can I never get an answer for that question? Starting to think Apple owns Comcast. We don't all buy Apple because it's apple, there are many of us who prefer different O.S.'s.
