x1 volume problem with Samsung

x1 volume problem with Samsung

The sound stopped working when pressing the volume button on my X1 remote on my Samsung smart TV.  I repaired the remote with the TV, but there is still no sound.  The volume control shows the volume being increased and decreased, but there is no sound.  I can also see the mute symbol when I hit the mute button on the remote.  All other features of the X1 voice remote work well.  I would appreciate any help that can be provided to solve this issue.  I also restarted the Comcast box 3 times.  Same result. Thank you

Re: x1 volume problem with Samsung

If you have a cheap antenna, you can try watching over-the-ar channels to see if your tv is getting sound.

that graphic you see on the volume going higher is generated by the TV. The normal fix for that is to unplug the TV for 30 seconds or more from electricity and then plug it back in to electricity.
