x1 unable to watch DVR recordings on devices

I had the x1 service installed yesterday and recordded a TV show. I downloaded the Xfinity TV app both on my iphone and ipad but when I go to Saved > Recordings, I get a message "You have no completed recordings...yet." I also have a few shows scheduled to record but on my devices I get the message "Your schedule is empty".

 

Has anyone encountered this problem and is there a fix. I spent 45 minutes with Comcast support only to be told it needs escalation and someone would call me back tomorrow.

My DVR service went out yesterday for the first time ever except for overall outages so maybe that's related.  Needless to say the online resources aren't helpful.

Recordings that are completed AFTER you get the service will be available. 

 

Wait until tomorrow and check again.

RobertWy, understood. I recorded a program on Monday night. Today is Wednesday and it still does not appear.

I don't think this will help, but there is a Sync DVR setting in Settings.

 

A reboot of the DVR might help.

 

Otherwise, call Comcast and see if they can identify the issue.

It depends on what happened the day you went to record it. When you record something with the X1, and it is properly coded for cloud, it will record in 2 locations: Your Box and The Cloud. If there happens to be an internet outage the day you record something it may not record to the Cloud and thus it will be missing from it. Also if there is a TV outage it will not record to your DVR but it will to Your Cloud. The Cloud recordings though can only be accessed using xtv.comcast.net or xfinity tv app. 

 

So I would test out another recording right now and then check to see if it's on your device yet. If it isn't then there might be an account issue. Just my 2 cents.
