Please go to www.xfinitytv.com/computer and copy the information you see on-screen and paste it in this thread so we can further assist you.

Also, what messaging are you getting when trying to watch HBO programs online?

Thanks,
Joe

Try using a different web browser and let me know if it works. This is not a permanent solution but it will help us narrow down your issue.

Re: watching hbo online

Tried using google.  Same problem except asking for silverlight upgrade which has already been done.  Is the 64 bit a problem?

Completely uninstall Silverlight from your computer. Then download and install Silverlight from the appropriate link below:

Windows users

This is a patched version that fixes most video playback issues and gets you out of the "Please install/upgrade Silverlight" loop.

Follow all the on-screen instructions and then try playing videos again. Let me know the results.

okay I did all of that.  HBO will play on line on Google for me.  If I do the same with Flash will this also maybe work?

Once you've figured out your tech issues, go to HBOGO.com and watch there instead. Their service is heads and tails above Xfinity's. I get some buffering now and then but at least all their content is correctly posted and actually works consistently.

It is narrowed down to the issue is just with Silverlight and Internet Explorer.

Make sure that you have the most up to date Service Pack installed on your computer and then try again. Service Pack 1 is needed for IE9 and Silverlight to be fully compatible.

Try uninstalling Internet Explorer and then download and install it again. Hopefully, this clean install will clear up any conflict that may exist.
