why does the xifinity account app on my iphone say that I have 8 different pieces of equipment when I only have 4?

who cares so long as they are not billing you :-)

 

But serioulsy be careful - when i took back some equipment to the service center (old DTV box and a never used voice/modem gateway) the act of checking it in broke my other equipment (my own cable modem and a cable card device).

Thanks for the reply. I have it resolved now, but have other issues with my service. I never had these issues with Optimum, which when I ordered it was cablevision over 35 years ago.
