tv.xfinity.com date-related problem starting Jan 1, 2017

The new year started without working streaming video.  My WIFI is fine and I get a list of channels and On Demand Icons.  Whenever I select either a TV channel or On Demand item, I receive an elipsis (hang) forever.  I can't cancel this.

I've been able to get streaming of On Demand working by changing my PC's date back to December 2016, but when I try to watch "live TV" the fact that the date is wrong causes another hang.  I can't tune to a program playing on a current channel.  The URL indicates that it is using the complete show and channel name, which is now incorrect because I'm not on the correct date.

I've also reset my device on Xfinity.

The computer configuration is a bit strange because I had some old computers lying around and I didn't want to dedicate a newer one to watching TV:

- Vista Home 32-bit

- Chrome (32-bit).  This has a built in Flash plugin needed.  (Firefox/Flash would not install correctly)

Steaming works fine on my laptop (Windows 10/Firefox/Up-to-date Flash), but not Chrome due to Flash restrictions (a separate issue)

Any ideals?

Thanks,

Tom
