Re: silverlight upgrade.

I'm having the same problem. Any Teen Wolf or Supernatual episode I try I get an "Upgrade your Silverlight" message. However, when I attempt to upgrade, my computer informs me that I have the latest upgrade already installed.  Warehouse 13 plays just fine though, and I have not checked any others.

Every show/movie/etc I try to watch (even random ones I click on that I don't want to watch) gives me the message "You're almost ready to watch _____. Please upgrade your Microsoft Silverlight plug-in to the latest version". Here is my information (it removed the "Invalid HTML" in the message body, so it's not spaced out correctly)

Re: silverlight upgrade.

Hi all,

Completely uninstall Silverlight from your computer. Then download and install Silverlight from the appropriate link below:

Mac users

Windows users

Follow all the on-screen instructions and then try playing videos again. Let me know the results.

Thanks,

Re: silverlight upgrade.

Thanks comcastJoe yes your link works just fine.

Your Mac link downloads version 5.1.10516.0. That version works just fine with comcast.

Here is the real kick in the rear. The comcast version the one that is offered to you when you click on a movie and it says you need silverlight. This is is the latest version.

If you go to http://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/Get-Started/Install/Default.aspx

The most up to date version that is given to us is 5.1.10411.0. LOL go figure microsoft.

So last night when I went to watch a movie comacst movie I needed silverlight. So being a experianced computer user I chose not to use the comcast provided download. Chosing to go to microsoft's silverlight page instead for the most upotodate and secure plugin.

Re: silverlight upgrade.

Ok so I just installed silverlight on my wife's Mac. I went straight to microsfts website for silverlight.

It gives me 5.1.10411.0.. Go straight to xfinity try and play a movie and it  tells me to please install silverlight.

It wont work

So it's obvious that the older version wont work. I guess someone at microsoft remembered to push out the latest update to xfinity but failed to update there own sever??????
