I have recently gone to an Infinity store and turned in my modem because I purchased my own modem. Also I returned my Infinity remote, which is silver with a red coloring in the middle. I returned the remote because I have had it for a few years and there have been problems with not being able to change channels. I bought new batteries, thinking they had gone bad, but the problem persisted.

I have problems when changing channels by pressing the channel numbers I want. The problem happens also when I press the channel "up" or "down" button. Most times nothing happens. However, the channels change when I get about 10 feet from the TV.

I have never had this problem before, and nothing has changed with the setup of the furniture.

What could the solution be?
