"Uh-Oh...You need to update Flash!!"

New Poster

"Uh-Oh...You need to update Flash!!"

For some reason, in my Firefox browser's plug-ins, I have two versions of Flash. 12.0.0.77 and 17.0.0.134. The 12 version seems to somehow become the priority when I try to watch videos on Xfinity's website. I can't delete the old version, and I have tried updating multiple times. It keeps saying I have version 12. How can I fix this issue? Maybe there's a way to delete it? Or will that screw up my computer if I delete the file.

    Version: 17.0.0.134
    State: Enabled
    Shockwave Flash 17.0 r0

Shockwave Flash

    File: NPSWF32_12_0_0_77.dll
    Path: C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32_12_0_0_77.dll
    Version: 12.0.0.77
    State: Enabled (STATE_VULNERABLE_UPDATE_AVAILABLE)
    Shockwave Flash 12.0 r0

EDIT Minutes after posting this I found the solution, even though I'd been trying to find it for almost an hour. Used Adobe's uninstaller and then reinstalled

Glad you found a solution. Yes, Adobe Flash Player Plug-In for Firefox can sometimes get messed up. This is especially true if you have two different version numbers installed. Say like version 16 and version 17, for example. I've ran into this myself. As of this writing, the current version for Firefox is 17.0.0.134. You can always check your current version by going to:

I also use this help article on Flash Player help to check my current version
