an existing recording on your X1 can be deleted while watching the program by pressing the D button on remote and selecting delete this program. If viewing the list of recordings, move down to the actual recordings and press the D button. if there are multiple recordings under a title and you want to delete all then highlight the line that says (example "The Addams Family (2)) how many episodes are in the folder for that title and press the D button. If you wish to delete a specific program in a folder hit OK while folder is highlighted and move right/left to highlight the episode you want to delete and press the D button.

Re: playlist

If you meant how to remove a program from your playlist, hit the info button on your remote. This brings up a sub-menu which has remove as an option.
