Why is it taking so long for the shows to become on demand? I t use to take a couple of hours. Now it takes a week for most shows.

It's a new season and contracts are changing. Comcast is no longer relatively alone for renewal.

 

The are many more bidders for shows: steaming video companies, network individual streaming apps, along with the usual satellite, ota, and cable.

 

Program providers choose if, when, or how, their episodes may be shown. Longer delays may be the "normal" for now.

If we are paying for this service, why are we the ones having to wait for these updates?

Hello all, the network that air the content is responsible for posting new content on demand. If you have a show that has not been updated with the most recent episodes within 72 hours of the original release date please feel free to reach out to the network to have them add the show to your on demand menu.
