my tv remote ( Vizio, not Xfinity ) messed me up

my tv remote ( Vizio, not Xfinity ) messed me up

I was trying to lower the volume on my Vizio remote, and grabbed it upside down by mistake. By doing that,  instead of adjusting the volume, I changed the channel setting on it and haven't been able to access anything, even though it shows that the green light is on the box. What channel does the setting need to be on ?

Channel 3 or cycle through the tv inputs.

Expanding that a bit: If the cable box is HD, it usually connects to the set with and HDMI cable, but sometimes component cables are used. If the box is not HD, it's usually connected with a coax cable, but sometimes composite ("AV") cables are used. Try using the Vizio remote to tune the TV to channel 3 or 4, or use it to select one of the other kinds of inputs.

If you can't get it working, post the model number of the cable box and the TV set.

If you still have the problem, I would unplug the cable-box for at least one minute. Then plug it back in and wait at least 5 minutes for the cable-box to reset and down-load needed data from Comcast. Turn the cable-box back on, along with the tv.
