live tv wont stream on home computer ?

live tv wont stream on home computer ? gives message "you'll need to connect to your home wifi", but I am hard wired from my tower to my modem ??? this is a recent change it worked before but we have had some power ottages lately and not sure when this problem developed since the computer isn't used very often for streaming any ideas would be appreciated, TY

When your modem restarted after the power outage, it may have gotten a new IP address. Sometimes this takes a while to get updated in the various systems within Comcast (that's how we determine "in-home"). If it doesn't resolve itself (close the browser and re-launch the site), you can try calling us (800-XFINITY) to speak with the Internet tech support department to ensure that we have your modem's MAC address assigned properly to your account (most common with customer-owned equipment).

 

Also, there's a ton of content to watch when not on your home network (up to 200 live TV channels and 40,000 On Demand titles). Just filter by "Available out of home" to hide the in-home only content.
