These 900 series errors are very elusive and they're usually a problem on Comcasts end and they also tend to be intermittant and pass within a few days. In some cases there are a few things that you can try i.e. make sure that you're using the latest version of the Flash player (you can check that here http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/); if you are using IE then try either FireFox or Chrome and see if there's a different message or it works better; since this is usually a Comcast problem try going directly to the networks own website and watch from there 98% of people who have problems on the Xfinity site can watch without any problems from the networks site i.e. ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, FX, SyFy etc.
If the problem persists for more than a day or two then send a private message to one of the Comcast people i.e. ComcastJoe, ComcastDaniel, ComcastMatt and describe your problem and include a link to this thread and ask them for help.
Ok but please keep in mind that it's not Comcast that prevents people from viewing shows outside the USA it's the studios and networks that license the shows to Comcast and those contracts legally bind Comcast from streaming to people (even customers who are legal US residents that pay for service) outside the continental USA. So don't be down on Comcast because they are just following their contractual obligations.
It still is cr*p!! And Comcast could not agree to the contracts and pull weight if they chose to and change the contracts if they really did care about their customers. I also can not believe the word CR*P is not allowed by the system!!
I have been haveing this problem for a while. I have called and called. Talked to supervisors and the whole nine. Still not fixed. It been at least 4 months now. 900|101000.101002.101005. pleas fix it aleady.
Can ypu please provide more details like is it all shows or just some? What operating system and web browser are you using?
If you are using Internet Explorer then try FireFox or Chrome.
If you are watching regular network shows i.e. Person of Interest, Grey's Anatomy, Bad Judge, The Big Bang Theory then as a work around you can go directly to the networks own website and watch from there.
The movies will not play and some TV shows. I use Google but I have tried FF amd IE. I am using windows 7Home premium. Not sure if you can see my account but I should have tickest in. I must add it was working at first and one day I go to the site and the error message started. Its been at least 4 months now. I have uninstalled, cleared cookies, made sure every thing is up to date, still can not play movies.
I have to add that when I go to play R rated movies I ALWAYS get sent to parental controls even though I have turned them off countles times, and when I do go to the parental controls they are all unlocked but still every time a movie is rated R I get sent there. The movie still give me the error message too.
What movies and what TV shows? Have you tried going directly to the network site for the TV shows you're trying to watch and have you been able to watch from there?
I am not a Comcast employee so I can't see your account, I'm just an IT technician (by trade) that voluntarily helps out here because the regular Comcast employees are swapped and can't answer every single post.
The problem that you are experiencing with parental controls is not something I can help you with as it is clearly a problem within the Comcast system; you can try and call the applications department at 877-599-1845 they may be able to help you with this problem.
Have you tried a different computer to determine if this is an issue with this particular computer or not?
