error 4121 and related issues with streaming television shows

i have repeatedly gotten the error 4121 tonight and also gotten repeated "too many devices" messages ... i have deleted the (for SOME reason) multiple devices only to get it immediately again when i attempt to play a show ... i know for a fact that my mac laptop is the only device being used to watch shows ... and infact it is that device that has multiple (3) entries created for it ... what the h---?

dozens of posts about 4121 errors. This is a COMCAST issue obviously,, not a CUSTOMER issue.This is unacceptable.
