cannot play some tv shows or movies over pc

I am getting the following message when trying to view some movies and tv shows over my pc.

iexplore.exe-application error

x the instruction at 0x776a3ea0 referenced memory at ox 00000014.The memory could not be written.

Click ok to terminate program. Does this message have anything to do with why I can't view some movies or tv shows over my computer?

Hi Stanby:

It's really hard to say, but from your description Internet Explorer is just flat out crashing. It would be helpful if you could tell us the version of Windows you're using and what Flash version you have. You can always check the currently installed version of Flash here: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ if you're not using the latest version (and you aren't using IE on Windows 8) you can click through the link on that page to download the latest version right from Adobe.

Also I can suggest that you try a different web browser i.e. FireFox or Chrome since many people who have issues with IE seem to do better with a third party browser.
