Xfinity tv app dvs

Today on two recordings the descriptive video service DVS automatically came on the iPhone and iPad. It is not turned on in the tv settings and does not describe what is going on when watching the recordings on the tv but does on the app. HIGHLY frustrating and not needed. Followed the steps but everything is off on tv and app. What do I do?
