Xfinity.com/Watch Live TV Sports Available to Watch In Home Only

When I access Xfinity.com/watch Live TV, Sports, some selections like the NFL football playoff games won't allow me to watch.

Instead they give the ambiguous Available to watch in home only.  When I click on that, I get the notice: Some networks only allow their content to be viewed when you are on your home WiFi. Look for TV Go options to watch anywhere, any time.

I am on my home WIFI.  Why can't I watch this and other programs on my laptop?

I've seen this most commonly with customers who have their own modems.  Is that the case with you?  If so, you can check the My Account app (Internet section) to confirm if we have the proper equipment "MAC address" for your modem.  You'd have to call and get the MAC address of your equipment associated with your account.

Second most common reason is that some customers think the "XFINITY WIFI" SSID is their home network (it isn't - it is the public hotspot).

Hope this helps.

Arg, I'm sorry - they should. I'll see if I can get some additional training out to the customer service agents. Other customers have reported success with this. I suggest you might want to HUCA (hang up, call again). See if you can get to Tier 2 support.
