Xfinity app not recognizing HBO subscription

Due to some unfortunate circumstances I'm a grown woman currently living with my parents. They set up a sub account for me so I could watch HBO on my iPad. However, none of the apps ((Xfinity or HBOGo) are able to confirm the HBO subscription. The apps politely suggest that I upgrade but we get HBO on the television so that isn't the issue. I understand that perhaps it's because I'm not the primary user on the account, but I really really don't want to have to ask my mommy to log in for me everytime the urge to watch tv strikes. Can anyone help me with this issue? Thanks in advance.

You only have to log in to the app once. Make sure you log in with an XFNITY account that has access to HBO. But you won't have to ask again after that.
