Re: Xfinity Video Player Upgrade

You need the latest version of Microsoft Silverlight, and maybe Adobe Flash for a few shows.

Try using Firefox 8.0 or Safari 5.1 and see if it works. This is not a permanent solution but we are having some issues with IE9 and want to make sure that this is the problem and not anything else. If it is something else, we can help you resolve it.

Re: Xfinity Video Player Upgrade

I spent an hour trying to get any info on the problems.  While you might know about them your Tech staff does not.   No one could explain you were having problems.  All i wanted was an answer but your rep hung up on me.  i was polite but they could not answer any questions I had.  They tried to explain it was my computer and now i know it isn t.  I should have been referred to this site.  Very dissappointed in Comcast Tech service.

Re: Xfinity Video Player Upgrade

Tried to watch Harry Potter last night when the video stopped unexpectedly midway thru the movie. I learned there was a new Silverlight 5.0 and it would resolve ALL the problem, I could watch as soon as I installed it.

So I did.  Apparently 5.0 is not compatible with your site. BUT, I can't get 4.0 back.  There are no workable solutions, registry cleaners, etc. that I found useful. I trolled for hours, and finally stopped tryi 3AM.

Today, I tried again, what the problem is? Is there another video player available, other than Silverlight? Let me know before I restore my backup which is a pain, but maybe I can see what I paid to see on INFINITY.
