Xfinity TV player app says not compatible.

Xfinity TV player app says not compatible.

I have an Acer Iconia A100 and by all required specs, the tablet meets or exceeds them. Yet, Google Play does not allow me to download it. Google claims Comcast put the device on a black list. I would like to know if this is the case, and if so, why?

Oh, I forgot to list the specs.

nVidia Tegra 2, Dual core CPU running at 1ghz, 8 core GPU with 1gb RAM. Some sites claim it has 512mb RAM, but all Tegra 2 devices have 1gb RAM. Plus the Acer site say 1gb RAM. I hope someone did not look at some speculation site that said 512mb before the Acer came out and thought that is all it had.

Screen, 1024x600. Which is standard for a 7" (Until the Nexus 7 comes out)

If the Kindle Fire is compatible when it actually has 512mb RAM, why is the Iconia A100 being black listed?

Re: Xfinity TV player app says not compatible.

the kindle fire is not compatible, not all tablets are supported.  Some of the lower level tablets that run a propirietary version of android are not supported.  The kindle fire is one of them.
