Xfinity TV app download fails on Android 6

The latest Xfinity TV app fails to download shows recorded on my DVR to any of my four Android 6 devices. It downloads 19-25 percent and says "interrupted". Reinstalled and reset the app to no avail. Tech support is useless. They gave me an "app support" number that answers the phone with "Netflix".
The (previous) app worked fine back in July ... Anyone else figured this out?

Sorry you are having troubles. Can you try downloading some On Demand content (On Demand - filter for "Available for Download" and select "More Info" to find the download option)?  If that works, it may indicate that there is an issue with the Cloud DVR recording itself. Does this happen with multiple (or all) DVR recordings or just the same one, repeatedly on different devices?

 

Also, have you been able to try on a different wifi network (or over cellular if you have an unlimited plan)? I'm wondering if it gets interrupted because of network connectivity issues.

Thank you for responding.

This problem now occurs with every show recorded on my DVR.

I have tried WiFi to my Lenovo tablet, LTE on my phone (T-Mobile unlimited), both at home and offsite.

 

I was able to download an On Demand TV show successfully today.

DVR downloads still fail with the "Download Interrupted" message.

Thanks for testing and sorry again for your problems. This indicates that the Cloud DVR recordings themselves are corrupted rather than an issue with the app itself. I recommend you give us a call at 800-XFINITY and open a support ticket. Unfortunately, I don't have access to do so since I don't work in customer service (just on here during my non-working time to help where I can).
