Xfinity TV Website on a Chromebook - Problems Streaming Live TV

I have a HP 14-x050nr Chromebook.  When trying to play any live TV channel from the X1 Website I get the error code:

900.106000

I can play material from my DVR just fine. The live streaming on Xfinity TV go also works.  All other devices I have work fine (Android phone and tablet, and Windows 7 laptop)

I have only had the box for a week, all software is up to date and it has never worked.

Has anyone else had success using a Chromebook to view live X1 content?  Any suggestions on what the problem may be?

Thanks.

I don't have a Chromebook, but I am curious as to what version of FLASH PLAYER you have running.... did you try and update the FLASH on the Chromebook?  ( Maybe it doesn't even use it, but that was an issue CHROME broswer just last week in other forum posts...updating the FLASH PLAYER fixed those who had problems.

Ray,

I am running Version: 16.0.0.235-r1 it was released on Dec. 15th pretty sure it is the latest.

Chromebooks (and Chrome in general) automatically manage the updates for their plugins. A good idea, since Flash is notorius for security holes.

Another symptom of my problem is that the graphics for the channel logos don't appear (they just have a generic icon, like a broken link)

on another thread the writer said that chromebooks load a particular version that did/does not work with some of the streaming services. Is there a forum for Chromebooks that might have an entry/thread that works around the issue?

Did a little googling and nothing definitive to be found AFAICT.  My error message is different than folks were getting several months ago so that is progress. Smiley Happy  Did a little more testing and found I can also stream On Demand content. So, it is only live content from xtv.comcast.com that is Borked.

This FAQ:

http://customer.comcast.com/help-and-support/cable-tv/x1-dvr-cloud-technology-general-faqs

doesn't list Chrome OS under the supported platforms, so the fact that most of it works is a plus I guess.

Well, I have an embarrassing number of devices to watch X1 on, so I guess I'll just wait until there are enough Chromebooks out there for it to be profitable for Comcast to support it.
