Xfinity TV Remote App won't sync with my TV/DVR

I have this app installed on both my android phone and my iPad, and it was working just fine. I noticed a few days ago that neither of them are working now. When I log into my account, the correct lineup shows, but I cannot connect to the TV. I have deleted the app and then downloaded it, and the same thing happens. It does recognize my TV/DVR, but it will not connect when I try to change the channel and also when I try to set up a recording. I was using the app most of the time while watching TV, and I miss it. Any suggestions?
