Xfinity TV Remote App won't record any series.

Xfinity TV Remote App won't record any series.

I have recently upgraded to X1 DVR. When I schedule series on the DVR the recordings appear in the TV Remote App.
When I use the app to record a series it gets put in the priority list but never schedules any recordings.
I notice that sometimes when I schedule a series the series gets a little red no entry symbol.

Is there something I need to do differently?

I got an anwer from level 2 support who rang me back.

 

Seems there is a nationwide outage affecting creation of series recording.  It results in no episodes being scheudled.  This affects this app, the web app, and may affect DVRs too.

 

The official workaround is record each episode.

 

This outage has been in effect since June 12th - there is no ETA for fix.

 

Shame comcast couldn't be bothered to say this anywhere on website or in outgae notifications.  I could have saved hours of webchats and phone calls.

I logged called with chat support.  They have escalated to Tier2 - will provide resolution when or if i get one.  If someone from comcast wants the CR number PM me.
