Xfinity TV Go app on Non-Verizon network, Android phones

Why is Verizon Network the only cellular network that can play tv videos in this app. If you don't have Verizon, you must be on WiFi to use this app to watch shows. WiFi is a service but Verizon Network is not a service. It is a company that provides cellular voice and data services. It is unfair and monopolistic to require a customer to use a specific company for a service that the customer pays for as a subscriber to a different company. If the app is a service to Comcast customers, it should be on the basis of service provision and not vendor preference. I should be able to use my T-Mobile data plan to use this app. Please respond as to why this is not permitted legally.
