Xfinity Online watching errors

its not just one show i have had this problem with. while im watching it cuts to the normal ads, but after the ads are supposed to be done it just goes to a lack screen. then if i want to actually finish what im watch i have to reload select resume and even then it will do this. im getting so sick of this what is the point of it if half the time you cant watch it anyways!
