Xfinity App for IPad and IPhone Question

Xfinity App for IPad and IPhone Question

Yesterday I finally received the DVR that works with the mobile apps. I live in the Cisco area and my dvr is the RNG 200N.

The app on my IPad is working perfectly, however, on my IPhone when I go to the channel listings and pick a program I do not receive the option to "watch it" on my tv, however, I do get that option on my IPad.  Is this not supposed to work on the IPhone?

Also, I do not receive the Anyplay option. Is that not available in Boca Raton, FL. 33496?

Thanks.

Try uninstalling the XFINITY TV App from your iPhone and then install it again.

AnyPlay is now available in FL. Please go here to see if you meet all the requirements:

Re: Xfinity App for IPad and IPhone Question

Comcast Joe,

This may be a stupid question, but, what is an Any Play device? I have the wireless router with the open ethernet port. I read this on your website, but don't know what I need for the Any Play on my Ipad.

to use AnyPlay, you must have an AnyPlay device installed in your home and XFINITY TV and XFINITY Internet service with a wireless router. Once the AnyPlay device is connected and you've downloaded the latest version of the XFINITY TV app on your tablet, follow the instructions below to make sure everything is connected properly:

Thanks

An AnyPlay device is a device that it needed for videos to play. We will provide you one if you sign up for AnyPlay.

Call 1-800-XFINITY if you plan on ordering AnyPlay.

Thanks - I didn't realize it was another service you had to pay for.

Re: Xfinity App for IPad and IPhone Question

to be clear the anyplay option is a seperate piece of equipment that lets you watch live tv on your mobile device   It plugs into a free port on your wireless router and it carries a monthly fee.

Mistakenly I thought it was part of the app and thought it would that would be a great feature in case we get hurricane  but when I found out what it was I realized that I don't need it, especially when you have to pay for the service.
